Kalanchoe Blossfeldiana-flowering succulent-tropical plants

Beautiful weekend to you all and welcome to a new round of Macro Flowers Saturday!

Thank you all for your lovely contributions and I hope hope you amaze me with many beautiful ones this weekend too. Here is mine, fresh from the supermarket:

Kalanchoe plants are flowering succulents, most often grown in pots as a brightly-colored houseplant but also beautiful in rock gardens or on the patio. They are native to Madagascar, some to Brazil and certain parts of Asia.
Though most of these plants are small, grow to a height of around one meter, some species can be tree-sized with a height of about six meters.
One of the most popular species grown today is Kalanchoe Blossfeldiana and its many hybrids.

They bloom from late fall till late winter, producing small clusters of brightly-colored flowers, mostly in shades of yellow, red, orange or purple.
Kalanchoe Blossfeldiana
Like all succulents Kalanchoe plants have a fleshy, evergreen foliage, very ornamental.
They are very forgiving plants, they can tolerate drought, in fact it is advised to allow to dry between watering.

They are promotional offers in every supermarket at this time of the year, at season end.
Red roseLast week's favorite photo, chosen by you is this gorgeous Red rose from SARA CHAPMAN.
Please visit her beautiful blog.!
Despite my email reminder, just a few of you came back to vote, you can see the results at last week's list.

One more thing, I need a favor from all of you:
I'm trying to assemble a special gallery (showcased on Youtube) for the 1st birthday anniversary of MFS (soon).
The problem is that I need some bigger photos, at least 640px in width. I tried to visit your past entries to look for pictures but most of them are too small.
I would like to ask you to select a picture from your past entries and leave me the photo/page URL in my contact form (not in the comment box), if you accept to participate. Give me your best shot!

Red rose for Valentines

Welcome to a new round of Macro Flowers Saturday and many thanks for all beautiful contributions.!

Valentine's Day is coming soon, so I thought a red rose would be appropriate for this weekend.

Last week, just three of you came back to vote on participants' photos, each of them having one single vote, so with my vote, the winner is SQUIRREL QUEEN, one of the regular participant. Please visit her beautiful blog.

I was very busy to retrieve and host all the lists from the past, after Linky tool's shameless threatening with deleting them,. They are all saved but it take a lot of time to correct and republish all those posts, left with a useless javascript. You can access them from the posts I'll correct the archive page too, I just need some more time.
Here is my red rose for Valentines, I had no time left to look for a prettier one in the archive.

And here is someone who knows a lot about love and Valentines, my all times favorite artist, Leonard Cohen, the man "born with the gift of a golden voice", still so humble in his greatness.
Please choose one of these 10 beautiful songs, if you like him too.
Have a pleasant stay!
Remember, you can come back after Wednesday to vote on photos!
This Linky story was a serious lesson and I assure you that my blog's integrity will never ever depend on the integrity of someone else. Though, I apologize if you stumble upon some none working link, I had no time to check them but I'm working on it.

Have a great Valentine's Day!
