Frost crystals on plants-Macro Flowers Saturday 83

Hi everyone and welcome!

The days are so short that I always end up taking photos in the dark. But this is one of the reasons the flash was invented, isn't it?
I took these photos this evening; the sun was already down but there was a beautiful red reflection of the sky in the partially frozen river.

I love to take shots of frost crystals on plants near the river, here are a few of them:
Frost-ice crystals on maple leaves
Frost crystals on leaves
Frost on dried thistle seeds
What's new with you all?
It's time to begin Christmas preparation activities, shopping, cleaning up... Yippee!

You even make cold, brown things look good. How DO you do it? And a warm, wonderful week to you as well.

I love the natural earthy feel of it. My wishlist is for everybody to have and hold their loved ones during the holidays and for always!

Beautiful shot Maia. I really like the soft red glow on the water as the sun sets.
